The Steimle Family Legacy
In 1952, high school physics teacher Wayne Steimle wanted to build a pool for his family but could not find contractors with the knowledge and experience to do it right. Taking matters into his own hands, Wayne recruited his students and built the first California Pools swimming pool in just three months. Wayne Steimle
Wayne Steimle founded California Pools in 1952 after building a pool for his own family with the help of his high school physics students. Unable to find qualified pool contractors, Wayne took matters into his own hands, completing the project in just three months. When neighbors started requesting pools of their own, Wayne left his teaching career to pursue his new passion full time. Ryder Steimle
Ryder Steimle is the third generation CEO of California Pools, continuing his grandfather Wayne’s legacy of excellence. After his grandfather’s passing, Ryder was inspired to join the family business and worked his way up from construction to sales to management.
